Word Heart Day is an occasion to focus on heart health. An opportunity to raise awareness of prevention, detection and management of cardiovascular disease.¹

Hypertension, or high blood pressure (BP), is a condition that can affect any cat, regardless of age. However, age does increase the risk of hypertension in cats. Approximately 13% of healthy cats ages 9 or older are affected by hypertension. The risk significantly increases to as high as 87% in cats with concurrent diseases, such as chronic kidney disease (CKD) or hyperthyroidism.¹  Monitoring high blood pressure in cats is crucial, particularly in these higher-risk cases.

We are excited to introduce the newest addition to the SunTech Vet BP lineup: the Vet40. The Vet40 is a surgical vital signs monitor designed for companion and equine patients. The Vet40 features SunTech’s proprietary animal-specific non-invasive blood pressure, temperature, pulse oximetry, electrocardiogram, and optional end-tidal CO₂ and respiratory rate capabilities.

Dr. Fabiola Quesada, DVM MsD MRCVS, is the Co-Founder & Executive Director at the Wild Spirit Fund. Wild Spirit Fund is a non-profit organization, born out of a decade of work in Africa and led by an international network of wildlife professionals, scientists, and veterinarians. Based in South Africa, their mission is to ensure the health and protection of wildlife in the natural ecosystem in which they live.

Wild Spirit Fund is based on the scientific movements of "Wildlife Conservation Medicine" and "One Health"; the former aims to identify the impact of the human footprint on the natural ecosystem; both assume the intimate correlation between the health of ecosystems, animals, and humans.

SunTech Medical recently released a new logo and overall brand refresh. Nothing about this change will impact the high level of service that we strive to provide each and every customer. SunTech Medical Launches New Vet BP Monitor Carrying Case

We are very excited to announce the release of a new Vet BP Monitor carrying case made for our Vet monitors. This new case adds both a new level of utility as well as protection to our already rugged and colorful Vet BP monitors.

This case was specifically designed with our veterinarians and vet techs in mind. The durable nylon case fits any of our SunTech Vet BP monitors with their monitor accessories and has 2 large pockets on each side for cables or cuffs. Having all your BP equipment organized in this case makes moving everything from one patient room to the next a breeze.

Going off-site? Easily transport the monitor holding the top handle or simply attach the adjustable shoulder strap and wear it over the shoulder. Love pockets? We do too! There is yet another large pocket on the bottom of the case that is detachable and holds large, flat items such as equine size cuffs.
