Proper placement for the SunTech Medical Orbit K blood pressure cuff
Proper placement of the blood pressure cuff is imperative to taking accurate blood pressure measurements.
To ensure the proper placement of the cuff, first, locate the brachial artery between the bicep and tricep.
After properly placing the patient's hand into the elastic sleeve, slide the cuff up the patient's arm ensuring the artery arrow points down the arm, with the microphone over the bracial artery, which should be on the medial part of the arm, not on top of the bicep.
When the cuff is in the proper zone, wrap the cuff securely around the bicep.
