SunTech 247: How to Use the temperature and SpO2 features

This tutorial demonstrates how to use the temperature and SpO2 features of the SunTech 247 fully configured model including how to take a temperature, how to switch from Oral to Axillary mode, how to switch probe wells and how to take an SpO2 reading.   • In this video, we will show you how to take a temperature and a Spo2 measurement.
  • To take a temperature, remove the blue temperature probe from the well and place the disposable cover on the probe
  • When the devise beeps, it is ready for use.
  • Place the probe under the patient’s tongue in the sublingual pocket
  • A travelling dash appears for 10-15 seconds until the reading is displayed.
  • Discard the cover and return the probe to the module.
  • Use a paper clip or similar tool to switch from Fahrenheit to Celsius.
  • To take an axillary measurement, remove the probe and press the button on the side of the module until it displays ALY.
  • To take a temperature measurement with the rectal thermometer, remove the oral/axillary unit and replace it with the rectal unit.
  • The Suntech 247 will recognize the new unit and will beep when ready for use.
  • To take an SpO2 measurement, start by inserting the patient’s digit into the sensor.
    Note there are specific sensors for children
  • A travelling dash will display for 10-20 seconds until the reading is displayed.
  • When the reading is complete, remove the sensor and return it to the unit.
