SunTech Medical invites you to visit a poster session presented by Dr. Hernan Polo Friz at the 19th annual ESH European Meeting on Hypertension in Milan, Italy. On Sunday, June 14th at 14:00 Dr. Polo Friz of Milano Bicocca University will present a “Validation of the SunTech 247 Diagnostic Station Blood Pressure Measurement Device According to the International Protocol.”

Dr. Roberto Sega and Dr. Polo Friz along with their team performed a validation of the SunTech 247 Diagnostic Station which is a clinical grade automated blood pressure device that offers the capability to take a manual blood pressure reading with a stethoscope. The SunTech 247 was developed as an affordable automated replacement for mercury and other mechanical blood pressure measurement methods in an effort to improve healthcare for the benefit of patients and providers everywhere.

According to Stéphane Laurent, President of ESH, “Hypertension has become the number one cause of death in the world according to a WHO supported investigation. Despite the many scientific advances of the past few decades, much work remains to be done. Although we all do our best to reduce coronary heart disease, stroke, heart failure and cardiovascular complications, diabetes and obesity continue to increase worldwide. Primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular diseases require a global approach of the cardiovascular risk, and an in-depth understanding of the mechanisms of hypertension.”
